What is SSO?

Single sign-on (SSO) is a user authentication tool that enables users to securely access multiple applications and services using just one set of login credentials.

How SSO works

With SSO, a user only has to enter their login credentials (username, password, etc.) one time on a single page to access all of their SaaS applications.

Using SSO to access the First AML platform

  • First AML offers Single Sign-On (SSO) on the Optimise and Transform pricing tiers, powered by technology from Auth0.

  • Customers must have a directory service (such as Azure Active Directory, Okta or other managed directory) in order to utilise the SSO option.

  • Currently supported directories include Active Directory/LDAP, ADFS, Azure Active Directory, Google Workspace, OpenID connect, Okta, PingFederate and SAML. New enterprise identity providers are added periodically, please check the Enterprise Identity Providers page for the latest information.

  • Once enabled for an organisation, users will be redirected to their directory service for authentication after entering their email when signing in, and inviting new users to our First AML account will no longer ask users to set a password.

What we need from you to get you set up

Please raise a support ticket via the First AML Help Centre that contains the following information:

  • A list of the domains you want to have enabled for SSO.
  • The name, email address and phone number of the contact person our team will liaise with to get you set up.
  • The type of enterprise directory you wish to connect.

The team will then get in touch with any additional information they require, based on the type of directory and guide you through the setup process.
