This article explains how often First AML's data sources update for PEPs, sanctions & watchlists, and adverse media, and where to find the full list of data sources we use.

Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
Our search algorithm expects major updates to occur after elections. Our screening tool follows election news and updates PEP data accordingly as results become available. Monitoring is scheduled daily, with most sources updated within a month.
How often are sanctions updated?
Our screening tool constantly monitors sanctions alerts and lists, covering major global sanctions programmes issued by OFAC, HM Treasury, UN, EU, AUSTRAC, MFAT, and others. Automated checks run every 15 minutes, and updates are reflected in our database within hours.
You can also subscribe to a daily ongoing monitoring alert, which sends updates if and when there are any changes.
How often are watchlists updated?
Update frequency ranges from daily to once a month, depending on factors like the importance of the list and the country it covers.
How often is adverse media updated?
If an article is selected by our screening algorithms, it becomes visible within the initial or ongoing monitoring profile within 48 hours of its publishing date.
