How do I update my name or email?

Your name and email address on your Source account can only be changed by the First AML support team. You cannot edit them yourself in Profile settings. This article explains why, and how to request the change.

Can I change my name or email myself?

No. Both your name and your email address are updated by First AML support, not in your own profile. Raise a support ticket and the team will make the change for you.

Why is this handled by support?

Your email address is more than a contact detail. It is central to how you access and are protected on the platform, so changes are controlled by support. Your email is used for:

  • Login and security. Your email is your login identity. When multi-factor authentication (MFA) is switched off, authentication codes are also sent to your email, so it is directly tied to account security.
  • Important platform communications. Key notifications and account communications are sent to your email address.

Controlling these changes through support protects your account and keeps an accurate record of who has access.

How to request a change

  1. Click New support ticket at the top of this page.
  2. Tell us what you would like updated, and include:
    • your current name and email address, so we can find your account
    • the new name and/or new email address you want on the account
    • the reason, if it is a name change (for example, a legal name change)
  3. Submit the ticket. Support will confirm once the change is made.

Including your current details in the ticket helps us action the change faster, with no back-and-forth.
