Before you start
You'll need a recent payslip. If you don't have one, you can explain why instead, but this choice can't be undone: once you say you don't have a payslip, you can't go back and upload one later in this session.
Accepted payslip file types: [PLACEHOLDER: confirm, e.g. PDF, JPEG, PNG]
You'll need to connect a UK bank account for the account your income is paid into. If your account is non-UK, isn't listed in the dropdown, or you don't use online banking, you'll add it manually instead — see Adding accounts or statements manually.
Upload your payslip
Click Browse to find your payslip on your device.
If you don't have a payslip, click I don't have a payslip and explain why. Note: Once you say you don't have a payslip, you can't go back and upload one later in this session. If you have a payslip saved on another device, log into Armalytix on that device instead and upload it from there. [Alt text: TBD — screenshot of the payslip upload screen, showing the "Browse" button and "I don't have a payslip" option]
Once your payslip uploads, the system reads two details from it: the Net Pay Amount (your take-home pay shown on the payslip) and the Payment Date (the date you were paid). Check both are correct. If either is wrong, click Amend details to correct them manually. [Alt text: TBD — screenshot of the confirmation screen showing the detected Net Pay Amount and Payment Date, with an "Amend details" option]
Connect your bank account
Select the bank your income is paid into from the dropdown list. The system checks that the Net Pay Amount and Payment Date on your payslip match transactions in your account.
If your income is paid into more than one account, connect all of them here.
Click Continue. Note: If your account is non-UK, isn't listed in the dropdown, or you don't use online banking, add it manually instead. See Adding accounts or statements manually. [Alt text: TBD — screenshot of the bank connection screen showing the bank selection dropdown]
Confirm your income transactions
Check the list of transactions the system matches to your payslip.
If you can see all your income in the list, click Continue.
If any income is missing, click Find an income item to search your connected accounts for the missing transaction.
Select each transaction that matches your income to tag it (mark it as a confirmed income item).
Once everything is tagged, click Continue. [Alt text: TBD — screenshot of the transaction list screen, showing tagged and untagged transactions and the "Find an income item" button]
Review your income summary
You'll see a summary of your income as a graph, [PLACEHOLDER: confirm graph format, e.g. a bar chart of income by month] alongside an estimated monthly income figure.
If this looks correct, click Continue.
If it doesn't, click Amend to go back to the Select Income page. Note: If the estimated figure looks lower than expected, you've probably missed some income items. Click Find an income item to tag more transactions. [Alt text: TBD — screenshot of the income summary graph and estimated monthly income figure]
