Overview

Greatforms includes an integration with First AML, allowing you to connect your First AML account and create AML cases directly from Greatforms, keeping your compliance workflow in one place.


This article covers how to request the credentials needed to connect Greatforms to First AML. It does not cover setting up or using the integration inside Greatforms itself. For that, watch Greatforms' walkthrough video below, or see their integration information page.


What the integration does (summary of Greatforms' walkthrough video):

  • You create a sales agreement in Greatforms using the AML-CTF compliance clause, which can template the fee amount and wording used to recover AML costs from a vendor.
  • Once the sales agreement is signed, Greatforms automatically creates AML tasks for each vendor and each purchaser. You can edit, reassign, or comment on these tasks.
  • From a task, you request customer due diligence by selecting the transaction purpose. Greatforms then generates the AML case in First AML with the relevant party and transaction information.
  • Task status updates automatically in Greatforms as the case progresses in First AML.


Before you start:

  • You'll need a First AML Compliance Admin (a user with admin permissions on your First AML account) to receive the credentials.
  • Only your First AML Onboarding Team can issue these credentials; you can't generate them yourself in Source.


Setting up the integration

To enable this integration within Greatforms, First AML needs to provision you with an API Client ID and Client Secret. These are the two pieces of information Greatforms uses to authenticate its connection to your First AML account:

  • API Client ID: a unique identifier for your Greatforms connection.
  • Client Secret: a private key that works with the Client ID to authenticate the connection. Treat it like a password: don't share it outside your organisation.


Before First AML can issue these, we need to understand how you want your Greatforms account(s) to interact with your First AML account.

An "office" is the access-scoping unit in First AML; it determines which users can see a case.


Requesting your API Client ID and Client Secret

  1. Contact First AML Onboarding Team at onboarding@firstaml.com requesting your Client ID and Client Secret.
  2. Tell us your setup scenario from the table above, and include a link to your completed Greatforms <> First AML Mapping if applicable.
  3. Provide the name and email address of the First AML Compliance Admin we should send the credentials to.
  4. We will send your credentials to that email address via a secure link, as shown below.


Once you have your credentials, return to Greatforms' First AML integration page to complete the setup inside Greatforms.
