Summary

The platform enables you to send Electronic Identity Verification (EIV) forms to your clients via SMS. We recommend reviewing the conditions and messaging used within the SMS before sending them to clients.

SMS sending is only available for phone numbers from New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom (see Enabled countries below).


Enabled countries

Currently, the ability to send SMS messages from the platform is only available to phone numbers from:

  • New Zealand (+64)
  • Australia (+61)
  • United Kingdom (+44)


Sender phone number

When a client is sent an SMS message from the platform, the sender number will change based on where the client is based.

SMS copy

The copy used in SMS communications is standard across all First AML customers. This cannot be customised.

The copy used is as follows:

[YOUR FIRM NAME] is required to obtain ID information from you. To verify your identity go to [FORM LINK].


Number of SMS sent per phone number

Due to legal restrictions, the number of SMS messages that can be sent to a client/phone number for each geography is:

  • New Zealand: 2 SMS per phone number (the second SMS can only be sent 24 hours after the first)
  • Australia: 2 SMS per phone number (the second SMS can only be sent 24 hours after the first)
  • United Kingdom: 2 SMS per phone number (the second SMS can only be sent 24 hours after the first)


SMS and automated follow-ups

Please note that SMS communications are not included in the automated follow-up cadence. Only email communications are included in the automated follow-up cadence.
