Overview
When you unwrap a company structure, tags appear next to each entity or individual to show their role, ownership and voting rights at a glance. These tags make it easier to identify who holds control or significant ownership without expanding deep into the structure to find them.
Tags reference
| Tag | Meaning |
|---|---|
| PSC | Person with Significant Control. See Understanding Persons of Significant Control (PSCs) for the full definition. |
| UBO 20% | Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) of the root entity, identified through ownership. |
| UBO 37.5% | Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) of the root entity, identified through voting control. |
| Director | The individual is a director of the entity. |
| Shareholder 20% (highlighted) | Shareholding percentage relative to the root entity (the top entity in the structure). |
| Shareholder 20% (plain) | Shareholding percentage relative to the child entity (the entity directly above it in the structure). |
| Voting 37.5% | Percentage of voting rights held. |
The two "Shareholder" tags look different so you can tell at a glance whether a percentage is measured against the root entity or against the entity directly above. If a party holds more than one role, for example both Director and Shareholder, all applicable tags appear together.

Why this matters
These tags reduce the need to expand deep into a structure to locate high-impact individuals. At a glance, you can see:
- Who is a UBO of the root entity, and whether that's based on ownership or voting control
- Who holds Person with Significant Control (PSC) status
- Who is a director
- How much of the structure each shareholder holds, and at which level
